This project allowed me to better understand how a building is supported structurally. HERE Champaign, located in the heart of campus, is a 28 story resedential appartment complex that took the place of an abandoned IHOP. The transformation of the space has provided the city with a new and centralized view and allows for hundreds of new residents to enjoy the unique amenities.

Structurally, this project allowed me to better understand the difference of beauty and structure. Through floor plans and wall sections, I was better able to understand how this building came to be, and how structurally sound it is.
